I must have missed that bit! What was said? I thought I had heard that if you were in rec't of DLA you would be in a seperate group of 'Get back to Work' people, and I thought that the pressure was off!

I heard it on BBC News they said that the Chancellor had decided to stop the Mobility part of DLA. As I have just gone in for exchanging my Mobility part of DLA for a high up type car I am now wondering if he will want me to give it back. If so I will never get out of the house it is my lifeline as I live in the middle of a forest. But as the Government are selling of a third of there forestry I might be living in a town by then! Hahahahaha.

he is stopping the mobility part for people who live in residential homes.

apparently the majority of people who get DLA and use it to buy the mobility car NEVER drive it. There is something wrong there. I know some people are so disabled they cannot drive and need a carer or other half to drive them about but i think in reality there are a lot of disabled people whose families are taking advantage of the scheme.

I think a lot of families of elderly relatives are driving about in cars their "in a home" relative is subbing....
